At the Australian Boarding Staff Association (ABSA) we recognise the importance of privacy and are committed protecting your privacy online. Please read the following statement to understand the information that ABSA collects and how it is used.

To use some of our services users are require to register as Members. The information required includes email address, name and other demographic data.
Our primary goal in collecting user information is to enhance your experience on our Web site and as part of the Association. We achieve this goal by using the information that you provide to tailor our features, our work and our site to the needs of our users.
Several of our services require a user to provide an email address. The registered email address is used for this purpose. To maintain contact with our users we will periodically send electronic newsletters with contain content we believe would be of interest to our members.
Most of our email based services to our members are opt-in. Members always have the ability to suspend all email from the ABSA site.
At times we may also send Advertising material originating from ABSA to our members. If users do not wish to receive this information they are able to request this be email to absa@boarding.org.au
The Australian Boarding Staff Association will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to others. ABSA may also disclose information about our users when we believe, in good faith, that the disclosure is required by law.
In the case of a breach of the terms and conditions of our website we reserve the right to provide the details of the offender to the appropriate Association/Client for any action they wish to take regarding the breach.
A cookie is a data file that certain Web sites write to your computer's hard drive when you visit such sites. ABSA makes use of cookies to provide authentication to our site and to allow the tracking of the logged in status of a user.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser settings to display a warning before accepting a cookie, or to refuse all cookies. However, if you choose to disable cookies then you will not be able to access some portions of the ABSA web site.
Our web servers automatically collect information about a user's IP address, browser type and referrer by reading this information from the user's browser (information provided by every user's browser). This information is collected and used in an aggregated, anonymous manner for internal traffic analysis of our Web sites. This information is automatically logged by most Web sites.
