R1: AIM OF DIVISIONS
1.1: The aim of a Division is to facilitate the aims of the national parent body in supporting members of the Association. A Division represents members in each state or territory as determined by the Constitution, provides feedback on local issues and liaises with the national parent body for the provision of funding, training, support and opportunities for collegiality across member schools.
R2: NAME OF DIVISIONS
2.1: The name of the Division will be the name of the Association followed by the abbreviation of the state; for example, ABSA STATE abbreviation.
R3: ESTABLISHMENT OF DIVISIONS
3.1: An interim committee of ABSA members form to propose the formation of a state or territory Division of ABSA. The members may be School, Affiliate or Associate members of ABSA.
3.2: The Interim Committee must notify ABSA of their:
R4: COMMITTEE OF DIVISION
4.1: The Division Committee shall consist of not less than four (4) members and not be more than nine (9) members unless and until the Company shall otherwise resolve.
4.2: The Division Committee should be at least:
R5: ACCEPTANCE OF DIVISIONS BY ABSA
5.1: At the next meeting of the ABSA Board the Board will decide on whether to accept the proposal to form a Division and shall inform the Division Interim Committee of this decision.
5.2: At the next meeting of the ABSA Board the Board will confer the name of the Division.
R6: NOTICE TO DIVISION MEMBERS
6.1: Upon approval to form a Division and Interim Committee, the Interim Committee will give notice to Division Members regarding the formation of the Division.
6.2: At the earliest time convenient, the Interim Committee will organise a meeting of Division Members to discuss the aims of the Division and to determine:

6.4: At the earliest time convenient, the Interim Committee will advise Division Members of the timing of a Division AGM.
R7: STATES AND TERRITORIES
7.1: Members of States or Territories which do not have a Division may choose to join a Division that is already established. Approval for this must be granted by:

R8: RATIFICATION OF THE INTERIM COMMITTEE
8.1: The Interim Committee will propose a suitable process to ratify the Interim Committee by Division Members prior to or at the next Division AGM.
R9: NOMINATION OF BOARD OF DIRECTOR FROM EACH DIVISION
9.1: Each division may nominate one (1) Director to the ABSA Board as their representative.
9.2: This Director will be elected by resolution of the Division Committee at the Division AGM or the next Division Committee meeting following the Division AGM.
R10: FINANCES OF A DIVISION
10.1: A Division may apply to the ABSA Board for funding for Division activities on a pro rata of Members per Division basis.
10.2: Proper accounts must be kept in accordance with the Regulations and state and federal requirements and be submitted to the Board for inclusion in the financial report of the Association at the conclusion of the ABSA financial year.
R11: DISOLVING A DIVISION
11.1: A Division may be dissolved by resolution of the ABSA Board.
11.2: Any assets or resources of the Division will become or remain the property of ABSA.
