This seminar seeks to support you to grow and progress your career to positively impact the students in your care. Boarding and Residential Life provides vital skills for many leaders within the educational sector, we aim to work with you to identify how your current skills can be maximised in your existing role, applied to your next role, and what additional skills and experience you may require for a successful transition. This workshop will provide you with a platform to advance your career and prepare you to apply for your next leadership role. We offer an insight into the educational leadership landscape and perspective on how to position yourself for promotion in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Outline of the Seminar:

On the day you will....


Leadership Metaphor

Participants will collaborate to frame up their leadership story to be infused into their CV.

Educational Narrative

Participants will create a personal statement that captures their values and beliefs about education to be used in their CV.

Capturing your boarding strategy

Participants will capture examples that highlight their boarding strategy as it relates to the AITSL standards as illustrations of action to be referenced in their CV.

Framing your preferred future 

Participants will be supported to leverage strengths to highlight how they have delivered results in their professional settings.

Personal Positioning

Participants will develop a media platform and profile to begin to craft their professional online narrative.


This seminar is intended to be action orientated and is designed to capture your accomplishments and aspirations. This approach ensures that you leave the seminar with a leadership CV framework, an understanding of the current educational leadership employment landscape and an enhanced appreciation of how to professionally position yourself. You will have the opportunity for a follow up conversation about how to leverage your capacity, as well as a chance to gain feedback on where there is demand for your skills. This seminar will support you to position yourself and your career.
